From storm and rain,

Writer's picture: ToldiToldi

Toldi says the weather forecast is for storms and rain and we should abandon the planned route and head home faster. However, he has been pushing for a long time because he wants to go "home" and we don't really believe it with the weather

First we drive to Nazare, where the highest waves in all of Portugal are said to be. The wind was blowing quite hard, but we don't put this down to Toldi's weather forecast, but rather to the special location.

The waves here are said to be able to reach up to 30 metres in height, but that was not the case today.

Fatima

We continued to Fatima,

The square in front of the cathedral is huge and impressive. In the smaller open chapel, where the candles are lit, people pray to Our Lady for many different intentions. It is very touching.

Toldi says it's time, the wind is whistling and the clouds are getting darker. So we're heading on to Coimbra, which we want to see tomorrow.

We spend the night in Coimbra and in the morning it pours down from the sky. All you have to do is soap yourself up and stand in the rain and you're freshly showered.

The picture was hidden by the censors 😂😂.

Now we realized that Toldi was right after all and we drove to where the weather was forecast to be nice, to Saint Jean de Luz in the French Basque Country on the Atlantic coast.

On the way there we visited the Zahoransky company from Todtnau, which manufactures our brush punching machines in a branch in Logrono. Logrono is located in the middle of the Rijoa red wine region.

Then we finally continued towards the Atlantic

In the evening we had a drink on the Atlantic coast.

In Saint Jean de Luz

It is a pleasant place to spend time with fine French delicacies and good Basque, French cuisine.

Sensational sky colors.

We'll stay here for another 2 days before moving on.
