Landing by plane is one thing, arriving is another. Since Mr Leo isn't here yet, we can take it all easy. First, we sleep in on the second day. Then we go for a leisurely off-road drive in the rental car. It's like driving through the forest here, only with other animals. But like the deer here, they aren't always there either.
And yet unexpectedly often comes:
The disheveled bird runs past us
Not only that, he blocks the road and Toldi has to seriously tell him to clear the way, otherwise something bad will happen.
Then the way was clear again and

a few kudus (eaten yesterday 😋 ) and a small springbok

We enjoyed ourselves. Afterwards we went back to Windhoek to yesterday's restaurant Joes Beerhouse. (Why try something new? It's already new enough)

After beer, good food and a little "hanging out" we went to bed ready for the next day.
Today the route takes us to Spitzkoppe in hot temperatures.

The Spitzkoppe, also called the Matterhorn of Namibia, rises suddenly from a plateau and is about 1700 meters high.
The mountain is beautiful to look at with its red color and large round boulders lying around as if giants had been playing soccer.

Due to the high temperatures, Toldi says:
you can skip exploring on foot. What a clever mascot.

Our final destination is Swapkopmund, which we reach after another 2 hours.

Here on the Atlantic the temperatures are more pleasant and Namibia once again invites us to a wonderful dinner.

If you like to eat, you're in good hands here. Hopefully Mr Leo will arrive soon, otherwise eating will be a disaster 😂
